Niyyah Capital is a venture capital fund that backs companies building technology and products for Muslim communities around the world. We designed and developed a responsive WordPress website that sets out the fund’s focus and gives founders and partners a clear way to connect.
Project overview
A venture fund’s website is read by people making serious decisions. Founders look at it to judge whether the fund understands their market and is worth pitching. Co-investors and partners use it to understand the fund’s thesis and the kind of companies it supports. Both groups expect a clean, confident site that gets to the point.
Niyyah Capital needed a website that communicates a specific, values-led investment focus, introduces the fund and its approach, and makes it simple for founders to reach out. With an audience spread across many countries, the site had to read clearly for a global visitor and work on any device.
The challenge
The core problem was explaining a focused investment thesis clearly to founders and partners who make quick judgements about a fund.
- A clear thesis: the fund’s focus on technology and products for Muslim consumers had to be stated simply and early, so the right founders recognise the fit.
- Credibility for a specialist fund: visitors look for a clear explanation of who the fund is and how it works before they engage.
- Founder outreach: entrepreneurs needed an obvious next step for sharing what they are building.
- A global audience: the content had to be accessible to readers in many regions, with no assumptions about local context.
Our approach
- Message first: we organised the site around the fund’s mission, its investment focus and how founders can get in touch.
- Minimal, professional design: we used a restrained layout with generous spacing and strong typography to suit a venture capital firm.
- WordPress development: we built a dynamic site so the team can update its portfolio, news and fund information without technical help.
- On-page SEO basics: we wrote clear titles, headings and descriptions so people searching for the fund or its focus area reach the right pages.
- Testing and launch: we checked layouts, links and contact forms across browsers and devices and delivered the website in 20 days.
What we delivered
- A responsive, mobile-friendly WordPress website
- A home page stating the fund’s mission and investment focus
- An about section introducing the fund and its approach
- A portfolio area for featuring backed companies
- A founders section with a clear contact route for pitches
- A contact page for partners and other enquiries
- SEO-friendly page structure
Technology and why we chose it
The site is built on WordPress with PHP and MySQL, using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript and jQuery for layout and interaction. A fund’s portfolio and news change as it makes new investments, and WordPress lets the team publish those updates from a simple editor.
Bootstrap keeps the clean layout consistent on phones, tablets and large screens, which matters for an audience that often reads on the move. WordPress is widely supported around the world, so the site is easy to maintain and keep secure with regular updates.
What this project shows
- Specialist investment funds should state their thesis plainly on the home page so the right founders self-select.
- A dedicated, easy route for founders to make contact suits how venture firms build their pipeline.
- For finance brands, a restrained design often communicates seriousness better than visual flourishes.
