Group 7 Solutions is a distribution platform for innovative Israeli technologies in cyber security, IoT and OT security, cloud, real-time systems and big data. We designed and built a WordPress website that explains this specialist portfolio clearly to business and technology buyers.
Project overview
A technology distributor sells to two kinds of visitors at once. Technical evaluators want to understand what each solution does and where it fits. Business decision-makers want to know who Group 7 is, which problems it can help with and how to start a conversation. Both arrive with little time and a lot of options.
Group 7 Solutions needed a website that grouped its technologies into clear categories, gave each one a simple explanation and led serious prospects to an enquiry. As a company handling security products, it also had to look credible and professional from the first screen.
The challenge
The core problem was turning a complex, technical portfolio into something a busy buyer can understand quickly.
- Many technologies, one clear map: cyber security, IoT/OT security, cloud, real-time and big data offerings needed a structure that did not overwhelm visitors.
- Two audiences: the same pages had to work for technical specialists and for managers who make the buying decision.
- Credibility in security: buyers of security products are cautious, so the site needed a professional, trustworthy presentation and clear company details.
- Room to grow: new vendors and solutions had to be easy to add as the portfolio changed.
Our approach
- Portfolio mapping: we grouped the offerings into a small number of solution areas and planned one clear page or section for each.
- Plain-language messaging: each area opens with what problem it solves before going into technical detail.
- Design: we used a clean, corporate layout with simple navigation and enquiry prompts on every solution page.
- Build on WordPress: we developed a dynamic site so the team can add or update solutions themselves.
- Testing and launch: we checked layouts, forms and page titles on mobile and desktop before going live.
What we delivered
- A responsive, mobile-friendly WordPress website
- A home page that introduces Group 7 and its role as a technology distribution platform
- Solution sections for cyber security, IoT and OT security, cloud, real-time and big data
- Enquiry forms and contact prompts for prospective partners and buyers
- About and contact pages with company information
- An editable structure for adding new technologies and vendors
- SEO-friendly page structure, delivered in 20 days
Technology and why we chose it
We built the website on WordPress with HTML5, CSS3 and PHP, using Bootstrap, JavaScript and jQuery for the responsive layout and interactions and MySQL as the database. This gives Group 7 a fast, mobile-friendly site that its team can update from a familiar dashboard.
For a company in the security space, keeping software current matters. A standard WordPress setup makes it straightforward to apply core and plugin updates and to work with any experienced WordPress developer in future.
What this project shows
- Specialist B2B portfolios become easier to sell online when they are grouped into a few problem-based categories.
- Leading with the business problem, then the technical detail, lets one page serve both managers and engineers.
- For security and technology firms, a clean, professional site is part of the credibility buyers look for.
