Nextage Infraprojects is an engineering and contracting company, founded in 2019, that takes on project work and focuses on finishing it on schedule and within agreed cost. We designed and built a responsive WordPress website that explains its capabilities and gives clients a straightforward way to discuss new work.

Project overview

Contracting work is awarded on confidence. Before a client invites a company to quote, they want to know what kind of jobs it handles, how it manages schedules and who is behind it. A contractor without a credible website can be filtered out before anyone picks up the phone, especially when buyers compare several firms.

Nextage Infraprojects needed a professional site that sets out its engineering and contracting services, communicates its commitment to timelines and workmanship, and helps project owners and procurement teams make contact. The site also had to be quick to update as the company completed more work.

The challenge

The core problem was showing a young contracting firm’s capability to clients who usually prefer companies with a long track record.

  • Capability over claims: services and working methods had to be described in concrete terms rather than generic promises.
  • Different decision-makers: engineers, site managers and business owners all read the site, so the content needed to be clear to each of them.
  • A growing body of work: the company needed somewhere to add projects and photos as they were completed.
  • Easy first contact: requests for quotations had to be simple to send from site or office.

Our approach

  1. Defining the services: we worked through the company’s areas of work and turned them into clear service sections with plain descriptions.
  2. Industrial, no-nonsense design: we chose a solid layout with strong headings, project imagery and contact prompts suited to a B2B audience.
  3. WordPress development: we built a dynamic site so the team can update services and add projects from the dashboard.
  4. On-page SEO basics: we wrote titles, headings and descriptions for each page so the company is easier to find for its name and service terms.
  5. Quality check and launch: we tested forms and layouts across devices and finished the website in 10 days.

What we delivered

  • A responsive, mobile-friendly WordPress website
  • A home page summarising the company’s engineering and contracting work
  • Service pages describing each area of capability
  • An about page covering the company’s background and approach to delivery
  • A projects area the team can add to over time
  • Quotation and contact forms for prospective clients
  • SEO-friendly page structure

Technology and why we chose it

The site is built on WordPress with PHP and MySQL, using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript and jQuery for design and interaction. WordPress lets a contracting team add new projects or adjust service details in minutes, which keeps the website in step with the business.

A Bootstrap layout makes sure the site is readable on a phone at a project site as well as on an office desktop. Using a mainstream platform also keeps hosting simple, and regular security and plugin updates are easy to manage.

What this project shows

  • Newer engineering firms should explain how they work, not just list services, to build trust with cautious clients.
  • A projects area that grows over time gives a contractor a simple way to show experience as it builds.
  • B2B visitors want a quick route to request a quote, so contact options belong on every service page.
